Recently, for a contest/project I'm in called the Peak Performance Project ( http://www.p3.fm ) everyone was challenged to choose a Canadian song to cover. I was reintroduced to this song by a friend. Every verse is so beautifully written, I'm in love with this song.

This has been my favorite album for about 2 years now. I love all the textures, songwriting and production, it keeps my ear constantly moving. My favorite songs have to be "A Cheater's Armoury", "The Pirate" and "Break My Body".

I first saw Jens' work in a tiny bar in Berlin called "Bilderpinte". I was there to perform, and fell in love with the photo exhibition right away. When I got off stage, I was informed by a great friend, Peter Ploch, that the photographer was not only present, but wanted to gift me with a photo of my choice from the wall. I rode home on the train with the photograph in awe. Jens is also the photographer for the new release cover art! Ya!

5. Artists: Valery Gore, Mother Mother, Ofrin
Again, can't tell you just one. Valery Gore is so wonderful. Her songs are so hooky even if I have no idea what she is saying. When I read the lyrics, they make less sense. I love it. Mother Mother is a force of nature. Everything is really well constructed, Ryan Guldemond is a genius. (He also produced "Carolina" and "Straight Line" on the new album! It was amazing to with with him. Ya!) Ofrin and Mother Mother = best live shows I've ever seen. I ended up at an Ofrin show almost by accident in Berlin and was blown away. Fan forever.
