Ooh whats happened since I last wrote. So much!
I had three days off this week, I spent them in Alphen with family Ed and Jacqueline. We took a nice long boat ride on the Rhine the first night, with a delicious pannekoken dinner. On Wednesday my uncle Frans had a party for me! with Canadian flags everywhere. He invited so many family members and made really really good food. I played a few tunes and everyone was major time supportive. The next day I had two interviews with local newspapers, and we had a relax night near a fire outside. Friday my uncle Frans and Aunt Rineke drove me to Nijmegen and I performed at the Red Shoe Sessions http://redshoesessions.nl/ The stage was in the garden of a convent, and it was super gezellig, cozy. haha. Then got up early and went to Brunssum to perform at an Art Festival in a park, I met some nice people and the sound was particularly good. I'm in Venlo now, there is a man singing with backing tracks onto the street from a bar. He's actually pretty good, its really animated and corny. Also loud, its a few doors down. I'm also eating one of the best salads in my life right now at a place called Milk and Cookies http://www.milkandcookiescompany.nl With Brie, Walnuts, Sundried Tomatos, Capers, and I think thats it. Tonight I play at Grand Cafe Staccato in Tegelen, then head to Amsterdam for a day before I go back to Basel.
