At Peak Performance Bootcamp, deep within an interview session with Grant Lawrence, it was suggested that I work on my storytelling in order to develop my interview skills.
I think its a fun idea, and so I'll be writing stories for 30 minutes a day for a while, or maybe even interviewing my favorite people. I'll use a photo to inspire the stories. Heres the first,

Before bed when my brother, sister and I were younger our mama would tell us some crazy stories in order to try and keep us safe. This photo reminds me of one.

I had a wonderful time performing last night. I'm so grateful for my amazing band. I felt really relaxed onstage, and really supported by my band and the audience. Thank you so much.
After the performance I recorded with Steph MacPherson from 11am until 5:30am with Warne Livesey producing. It was really great to work with Warne, he's really relaxed and has a lot of great ideas. Yes!

Good Morning! Its Day 5 of the Peak Performance Project Bootcamp and a lot of people got very little sleep last night! You could tell at the breakfast table this morning. There were 6 of us at 8:15am, and one of us *ahem Greg Sczebel, didn't even sleep at all. Yes, its due to the songwriting challenge/contest. Tardiness or even just absence for breakfast isn't really a new invention here at the PPPB. I noticed as well, along with the dwindling amount of people at breakfast, we are getting a lot quieter. The first and second day, oh man everyone was a chatty Cathy.

I'm writing to you from the Peak Performance Project Bootcamp Recording studio, set up and run by Nimbus Recording. We're just about to record gang vocals on Kuba Oms' new tune. Yesterday we were given a challenge to write a song with the title, "Last Night," and so, here we are in studio, recording Kuba's song with that title. Just before I came to visit the studio on site at the Rockridge Canyon Resort, I was sitting near the lake in a songwriting session with Steph MacPherson that oh so organically fell together.

'Straight Line' Swiss Edition, will include 3 more tunes. They are; Red Bike, Over Canada and Ancestor.
The album will be released in Switzerland Oct 29th, with a tour of Switzerland itself! to follow. :)
